I'm glad people are still making music like this
Like the Sugababes, Alcazar have had many different line-up changes but over the last 10 years but they have established themselves as one of Sweden's best selling bands, I even remember buying 'Crying At The Discotheque' on cassette tape! But there back in 2009 with a brand new line up and album filled with the same euro pop/disco music they are most loved for! There are some great tracks on the album including 'We Keep Rocking' which echoes the Alcazar classic "This Is The World We Live In', the massive 70's disco track 'From Brazil With Love' the very Abba-esque 'Thank You' but my favourite track has to be 'Stay The Night' the song which Alcazar entered into Melodifestivalen 2009 the Swedish Eurovision selection process Which ended up coming 5th overall which makes me sick considering the rubbish that won, Malena Wrnman - La Voix! Although coming 5th was pretty good considering there was 3,440 songs entered into the contest. I Just hope this album is released here in the UK!Tuesday, 31 March 2009

Beyonce - Halo
This is such an amazing record, written by Ryan Tedder of One Republic fame. There was a rumour flying about before the release of Beyonce's 'I Am Sasha Fierce' albums that that originally Tedder wanted Leona Lewis to have the song, that it would be on her next record and she was even said to have recorded her own version. So who do you think would have sang it better Leona or Beyonce? No doubt this song is class and will be a missive hit for Beyonce anyway.
Lady GAGA set to rain supreme in the UK charts

Surely this is Alexandra Burke's last week at number one? Lady GAGA still number one in the itunes chart this week behind Leona Lewis' Run at number 2 and the newest X factor winner Alexandra's version of Hallelujah. The first big hit of the new year is Just Dance by Lady Gaga feat. Colby O’Donis, which attracted 40,537 downloads to debut at number three in the charts this week. The track is a major hit in the US, where it scored the second highest download sale in history last week, selling 418,666 copies to lift its career (21-week) sales to 1,742,912.
The only other two rising songs in the itunes chart include Beyonce - Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It) at 8 and the Saturdays - Issues at 6. With plenty of big new releases including top 40 entries from Pink and the Sugababes were sure to see much more activity in the top ten next week.
The Saturdays - Issues (Digital Dog Remix)
The Saturdays have really established as the most successful new girl band since the Sugababes and Girls Aloud. Their last single 'Up' has already sold 162,982 copies so far. So every girl band release a ballad or two off each album, Issues is the Saturday first crack at a slow song and it's not half bad either. Here is the Digital Dog remix of Issues, probably the bast remix of the track. The original version is currently number 7 in the mid weeks charts i'm sure this song will chart well tho, enjoy!
